- ★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆The Holmes County Sheriff's Department as well as the Lexington Police Department and Durant Police Department basic we are only in existence two clean up the mess after it's already done and finished most of the time true criminals do not go behind bars because they have the cops in their pocket and in Holmes County money talks and bullshit walks. Crime rates are very high here in Holmes County due to lack of law enforcement actually enforcing the law. The cops would rather pay attention to someone not wearing their seatbelt as opposed to who just shot and murdered three people down the street at a club that was open until 3 a.m. Lots of times murders go unsolved and the suspects are still out there wandering the street to do their Dirty Deeds to some unsuspecting victim once again, yet still without consequenceBy Wendy Nalley, April 23, 2017
